Hi, As my parking brake was not working when the Bobcat travelled forward Oldmachinist suggested I looked at the parking brake disc. I stuck a camera inside the front chaincase cover and took some photos. I got some great photos & the dics do seem to be damage so I think I will need to replace them. Is this a simple job I changed a drive motor on a early 543 once and swore I would never go back in a chaincase, how ever I would like to try this. Are the discs expensive? Thanks

You should be able to remove the middle inslection cover with the park brake solenoid. This will give direct access to the discs. You will need a large set of snap ring pliers to get it off though. Its a pretty easy job. Easier than the drive motor you did.

Tazza Thanks for your advice, I am going to attempt it once I can get hold of some new brake discs (out of stock in UK)
