I'm ready to pull the Peugeot engine from my 751C (very hard starting, low compression, oil consumption). The manual references a bracket that attaches to the engine for lifting. Do I need to make this bracket, or can I just use a chain with a roll-around hoist and lift it up an inch or two and withdraw it? Tazza, I think you said you pulled the engine and left the hydro pump in place? I've pulled engines before, but any funnies with this one? :) ---RC

Remove the flywheel and the engine bolts through the bell housing. Remove the front engine mount, you may need to remove the fuel filter to get to this bolt. Remove the coolant lines. I used a chain and managed to hook it up and out without removing the pump too. I did this a few times.... Not fun, but its totally doable.
