Good Evening fellas... My first post here. I came across this forum while trying to research how to move a deere 8875 (same as the LX885) that won't run. We purchased an 8875 the other day and the guy said it "might" need an engine... well, low and behold, after pulling off the side panels and witnessing one of the connecting rods sticking through the block, i believe he was right. I need to get the machine out of the original owners yard and onto my trailer. I have access to another machine to help load but does anyone know if there is a way to bypass the hydraulic motors to let the machine free wheel? I haven't been able to find anything except for "Get a bigger machine to move it". I appreciate anyone that has any info on this. Thanks

Todd

you should be able to have someone sit in the machine and push the directional hand controls s in the direction you wish it to go while being towed or pushed with something else!
pushing the hand controls forward/reverse will (SHOULD release pressure enough for things to allow you to move it with another machine, winch, or towed with something else!
now I would not suggest towing/moving it FAR like this, but you should be fine, to get it to where you can load it on a trailer, , just go slow and take your time

Never thought of that but I am going to give it a try! I appreciate the info thats for sure.

What did you end up doing to get it to roll?
tied a big chain to it and winched it onto a flatbed. It slid the whole way. It currently sits in our backyard while we try and source an engine. Seems extremely difficult to locate around us. (Mass)
