Hour meters

Is it posible to “set” a new hour meter to what the old hour meter read? 3400 hours is a long time to leave one hooked to power.

Just hook the new meter to a 9 v. battery and be patient. My first batt ran down and I had to go for the second one to get to ~2800 hrs. No hurry, it took over a week but .............its very close to the correct hours.

Thanks, Ill give that a try. Does it go faster at low voltage? 3400/24=141.6 days

I would have just kept a note of how many the old one had and just work from the new one. If you go to sell later tell them the original hours were XXXX so add that to this to get the true hours.

Thanks for the response. Still not too late for that. My only concern is when I sell this thing, is the next owner going to tell the buyers how far the hours are really off? I hear horror stories all the time about poeple buying low hour machines only to find out they have closer to 5-6000 hours of use. Almost best for everybody to just to set it and forget it.
