Its a rectangular one. I assume it does not just get 12V when the ignition switch is ON correct? It must get fed 12V only when the engine is actually running?Sounds like a wire. Gonna have to follow the wires or maybe a fuse. Is it one of the round hour meters? cause dont know if those would even have a fuse. Good luck.
Sorry - I made a typo in the original post. Its a 843 diesel. Its a rectangular one. I assume it does not just get 12V when the ignition switch is ON correct? It must get fed 12V only when the engine is actually running?
Most likely there will be an oil pressure switch on the motor that supplies power to the hour meter when the motor is running. I think the 843 came before the frenzy of computerization that Bobcat embarked upon so it should be simple. Or maybe not.Sorry - I made a typo in the original post. Its a 843 diesel.
Kermode beat me to it. They hook the gauges up in an odd way. I remember my 751 needed the charge pressure sender hooking up before it started working. Ensure its working or even fitted. SOmetimes they leak and people just remove them and plug the hole up.Most likely there will be an oil pressure switch on the motor that supplies power to the hour meter when the motor is running.
