Hi there I finally signed on to the site but have been reading and learning here off and on for several years. It amazes me how many knowledgable people that are here to help and the courteous and kind manner that the help is given, very cool. I live in Lloydminster Alberta and am looking for a 10 - 15 year old Bobcat 763(0r similar) with quicktach and aux hydraulics with between 2-3000 hrs on it. I'll be using it on a small farm for landscaping and snow removal. The price on used equipment here is very high, I emailed a guy on Kijiji who had a 1995 853 with 2000 hrs on it and a blown motor and he wanted $9500. I thought without being able to fire it up to check the hydraulics 4 or 5 large ones would have been enough to get it and I could replace the motor myself. If someone can suggest where I might start looking in Ontario for a reasonably priced unit that I could get shipped here it would be much appreciated. Thanks, Chuck

Welcome to the site.
The way I and my Dad have looked at it, when buying dead machines is if the engine blew, generally the hydraulics should still be good as it should have been used up to that time. This is not always the case i know, but so far we haven't bought a dud. I got one with a hole in the engine block, threw in another engine and it was good to go, i didn't need to touch any of the hydraulic/hydrostatic components.
I'm from .au, so i really can't guide you on prices, they are higher over here.
