When I was taking a 371 Bobcat off my trailer today the the belt that drives the boom/bucket hydraulic pump took a crap!! Here's what I have for you: 1. I'm pretty sure that I saw a lever on the left/rear side of the seat, like a 610 has, that makes this a 2-speed? Pretty sure it's a 371, because it came with a 371 manual! 2. The engine has TWO belts on it. I'm pretty sure it was the INSIDE belt that broke. The machine still moves (or as I say- "motivates", so the belt that's broke apparently controls only the boom hydraulics, If doesn't that's what's happening!!! 3. Can someone tell me what size this belt is and can I buy it at NAPA, or do I have to wit till a Bobcat store opens? 4. How far do i have to tear this thing apart to put the new belt on? HELP!!!!! Thanks for your help.

First thing, bookmark this site: lBobcat Parts Online, then you can search by model and find that the 371 uses a 6500969 bobcat pn belt, which they claim is a Dayco 3V735 or equiv.
My big book of belt cross reference also has two full columns of manufacturers including Ford, GM and Mopar, so it should be readily available almost anywhere.
As for replacing it, it should be ran by a jackshaft, so only one end should have to come loose just enough to slip the belt around it, you might look in on the facebook Melroe group, they specialize in the older clutch machines.

Can you tell me what I have tp do to get those pulleys off of the engine? Am I going to have to take the engine out? The inside pulley literally disintegrated, so I'm just going to use a regular pulley instead and do some screwing around to find the right length belt for it.. If I can get it to run 4 1/2 -5 mph that will be good enough to sell it. Send me an email to: [email protected] Thanks!!
