I found this site because I had a dadgum problem. Glad I found the site, its great, hate I had the problem. Ok. Changed my hydraulic filter, oil and filter and fuel filter. After I changed the fuel filter my 2003 S160 wont start. I pumped the ball and bled the bleeder valve on top of the filter housing probably 50 times. I have done everything I can think of and still cannot get it to start. Gave up on it for a few hours before I resorted to fixing it with my GLOCK!! Went back at it and got it to start while using starter fluid. Could keep it running with short sprays of starter fluid but it sounded rough and would die if I didn't keep spraying it. I NEED HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Stop using starting fluid or you will have real problems. You are still getting air somewhere. Have you tried having someone else pump the primer bulb as you turn the key? Have you opened the injection pump valve after closing the filter bleeder screw and pumped the primer more? The injection valve is about 8" above the fuel filter, a little wheel with a rubber hose coming out of the side of it. You can always start over and take off the filter to make sure its really full of fuel. If it is the problem is higher than the filter. As a last resort you can crack the injectors one by one and continue hand priming. It doesn't normally require that much fooling around though. Good luck
