New to the forum and to skidsteers. I have an what is believed to be an older 9xx series with modifications done by PO's. It goes strong/fast backwards on the right side but won't go forward, at least won't go without slowly bumping it and then just stops under any kind of load. The left side is slow either direction. I want to swap the Vickers drive motors and see if these symptoms follow but before I do I am trying to figure out these disks from the Vickers shaft to the shaft to the sprocket/chain/wheels. I have taken the ones apart on the right side and the disk on the wheel side has round holes in it and the disk on the motor side has bolt-like pins that each have material bushings on them and these loosely fit inside the holes on the other disk. I thought these might be part of a clutch or brake assembly but they don't seem to be. does anyone know what they are? Are they just a coupler to join these two shafts? Anything missing that should have been there? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It definitely looks like some sort of drive coupler. There should be no need for a clutch/brake in this location.
The symptoms you describe definitely sound drive motor related. There are shuttle valves internal to the motors that allow them to function in a bi-directional manner. It sounds like one of these is playing up.
Cheers - SR
