I hope some one out there in steer skid land can help me.i just got my frist steer skid a N.H l553. when i'm sitting in it the right hand side seem to vary in speed from slow to fast.have change all the oil and filter.have a weak shock on the controll stick on that side.don't know if this could cause it to act this way or what.so please any idea would help.thank you all for any help you can give. JIM
 
Is there some way you can operate it to obseve the arm on the pump? Just to be sure your linkage is not loose somewhere and letting the arm float around and varing the speed? If its not this then you digging into the pump I guess.
Also you have run it enough to have worked the air out from the oil change?

Ken i check on that linkage it is all ok. so i guess it time to take a look at the pump.iguess it time to try to learn about steer skid .maybe that part of the fun of having one.i hope i'm not to old to learn.i thank you so much for the come back.Jim p.s. i work it a good two hour's should be enough time to get the air out.

Time is needed to bleed the system. As in you need to run it, let it sit, run it again. If you just keep running it, the oil will be bubbly and will simply keep going round and round.
I'd still inspect all the linkages from the arms to the pump shaft. Its possible the linkages have a little play that can make the machine jump.
