I have acquired a little Bobcat 443 skid steer loader with a kubota D750 engine. It was purchased as a project, but not knowing much about them I thought it could be something small that could be fixed. So by doing some research i found it was missing the hydraulic pump. Both drive and hydraulic pump. Unfortunately it is almost impossible to find a pump for it. I have come across a few but with the price tag, i could buy a new machine. I bought a manual to aid me in the replacement of the wheelbearings, seals and chains. I also found a diagram of the hydraulic flow. My questions are, Is the two hydrostatic pumps (Drive motion pumps) actually pumps? Because in the diagram they are fed by the third (gear) pump on the end of the assembly. I am assuming all they do is control direction of the flow? Is it possible that only one gear pump can be used and two, two direction valves be used for the drive motors?
