I have a 2003 Bobcat S185, 2000 hours operation. I has a strange problem...'sometimes' it won't start!, it does not do this each and every time we try to start it. Sometimes it starts just fine...other times, when we turn on the key switch, nothing happens,If we leave the key on...it will sometimes go thru the beep and glow plug process and then finally start. It is very random...but extremely irritating, because we all know - when you really need the machine, is the time it won't start! Below video attachments. Please help! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I6UI_ziipQ&feature=youtu.be

Sounds like a loose or craped up connector clean and inspect all cheap and easy
I check your battery terminals and clean all of battery connections, next check fuses is relay looking for the wire that sends power to the cab, and have found no problems there.

Seat and safety bar switch wire harness plugs?
I'm wondering if it could be the actual ignition switch. You say you turn the key and if you leave it in that position it will sometimes power up, a bad connection in the switch could cause that.
It could also be a bad connection causing not enough power to get through and sitting it in that position clowly gets a good enough connection for it to start.
When it does this next, get a jumper wire and short from the +ve terminal on the starter to the small one, this should make the engine crank, but may not start as the fuel shut off solenoid will not be powered. This will tell you if it's a issue with the main starter cables or if it's further along.
