Hi I'm Jennifer and I bought a bobcat 743 skid steer a few years ago and it had been sitting for 10years but ran when parked. The machine fired right up after a put a new battery and new fuel filter on it. But didn't move, was bone dry of hydraulic fluid so drop about 3 gals and it moved but leaked from the lift arm badly.
Next I rebuilt the right side lift arm cylinder then started it and went to move it and then leaks from control valve, long story short, bolt broke off and had to remove, that's where I'm at now

Welcome aboard. Hydraulic issues will always be with you. Rebuilding cylinders is basically a maintenance item on skid steers.

Good luck.

I can feel your pain. I have a 742B and have ventured into the unknown by having to do things I didn't have any experience with like rebuilding rams. After the first one I'm now comfortable with doing another. The manual and parts diagrams do help as they can be a reference. Good luck and keep up the good work!
