Hi all, Just joined today as this appears to be the best bet in helping me restore my father-in-laws Bobcat 444. He passed away recently after farming 300 acres here in Wisconsin. The machine has the ONAN opposed twin in it. I need an ignition coil, points, condensor, and the cover plate that goes over the points. The other thing is that the tires have fluid in them and the wheels are rotted pretty bad. Finding a 15x6 wheel with the 1/2 inch back spacing has proven to be impossible. I can find 15x6 wheels but the back spacing is incorrect and the wheels wont bolt up without hitting the machine. If there are no sources for the 15's what are people doing? thanks Steve A.

Most of the parts for the old Onan engines are still available. You can get the ignition parts on line here. http://onanparts.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_16&sort=20a&page=1 They may even be able to get the points cover from them even though it's not listed on their website. If not there's one on Ebay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/JOHN-DEERE-316-...ms=65:1|66:2|39:1|240:1318|301:1|293:1|294:50 As far as the wheel spacing you may have to but or make a set of spacers to get some clearance for the wheels you can get.

I forgot to mention that I have the service manuals for most of the old Onan engines so if you let know which model you have I maybe able upload the manual for you.
