I'm looking for a head gasket for a 1982 bobcat 742 with a 1.6 liter ford 7224e. I've seen several but they don't look the same. Could someone point me in the right direction

Search the Bobcat Forum for "Ford 1.6". There are several posts on here about parts for it.

It is a Ford Kent engine. Used in, what I have read, the European Ford Cortina, Escort and Pinto. One post on the forum mentions that the Ford Fiesta head gasket is the same.

I used to have a 742 with that engine converted to propane. I've seemed to have misplaced all the info that I had accumulated on it. I will keep looking.

I know this info doesn't help with part numbers but I have found that having all this info in one spot is nice.

They're still readily available, just storm into your favorite Napa or equivalent and ask for a head gasket for a Ford KSG416 industrial engine.
