After some work on the starter, alternator and fuel pump I have my Case 1830 running well. The only issue seems to be the governor doesn't seem to doing anything. Forcing the pump into bypass mode stalls the engine. I've read that they seem to be very seldom for sale. Has anyone tried to rebuild a governor? The only note has been about not finding a replacement bushing which would not be a problem for me since I have a lathe. I have both the service manual and parts list but neither show the exloded view of the parts inside.
Has anyone rebuilt a gear drive governor for a Case 1830? Anyone have one for Sale?
