Hard start/ slow turn over

I have a Case 1840 skid steer and when I go to turn the key to start nothing? If I leave the key in the ignition position for a few seconds the starter will turn very slowly until it fires up? Anyone ever have the same issue? What was the issue? Or any recommendations or where to start? Any advice or suggestions would greatly be greatly appreciated. Thanks

not sayin that this is the answer but grounds are overlooked quite often ,yet they are half of the electrical circuit , so make sure they all are of a good connection, batterys can be kinda funky like that too. they will change potential amp delivery on ambient temp. so load test battery. and make sure that the alt. is charging at a good rate.
