Handicap access

I have a Kubota SSV65. I also have a bum knee and father with much worse mobility issues who really wants to help on the farm.

Is there anyway to make it easier to get in & out of the skidsteer? I was thinking that if there was a way to put the roof on a hinge, I could build a wooden dock with a ramp, but i'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experience with this.

I know this maybe isn't an option, but have you maybe thought of trading your machine in for one with a side door?
as a side door model is way more user friendly when you have disability issues, or can be , pending what all issues you have , and be a lot easier than trying to modify a basic machine IMO!

I know costs are a issue, but in the long run, it might be a worthy investment!

JCB also has a extendable boom if you need it,besides the side door.
