my 68" snow bucket needs a cutting edge. driving home i spotted a 7' plow cutting edge on the side of the road (probably broke off a 10' or even larger snow plow) needless to say, i will be welding it to the underside of my snow bucket this weekend. every time it wears away, i will grind welds and shift forward thought that was a nice $300 score

Nice find. You probably did a favor for the guy who mows the ditches in the summer. Hitting a chunk of hardened steel with a lawnmower cant be good.

I have a few long sections of plow cutting edge kicking around. You might try asking your local town garage for a used junk section of it. Good luck cutting it though, its difficult with a torch and I dont think any drill bit will touch it.

i'll just cut it with my gas cut off saw. i'm pretty good with it, plus it's not like it has to look beautiful
