Well I reported in repowering that I locked up the engine in my M500 and had a Vanguard coming soon . While I was waiting to make the trip to MT to pick it up I opened up the Kohler .Well the shaft end was first looked inside and found everthing looked good . Next I pulled the shroud and the flywheel and a small piece of steel was stuck to the magnets . So I started looking and found that Kohler covered the magnets with a thin steel strip and one let loose and got between the magnets and the stator . Put it back together today with a rebuilt pump coupling and am running like new . Am still going to put the Vanguard in this one or another one .
