Fuse location?

I have an 873G with the keyless start and cab/heat and air that I recently bought. The windshield wiper didn't work when I got it but I never gave it any mind. The heater and ac both worked well. Last week, the heater and ac quit working. I have the operaters manual, not the repair manual, and it references a fuse box that it shows is to the right of the oil dipstick. I must be stupid because I can't find it anywhere. Can someone please tell me the location? Is this the first thing to check? Thanks, Keith

Look for a metal cover on the panel below below the front of the seat, held on with 2 small bolts. Thats where they are on my 773g anyway.

The a/c switch is notorious for melting the back of the switch and the wiring harness plug

How do I check for this? Do I simply pull the cloth/felt cover off to look at the back of the switches?
