I noticed a bit ago that when I got in my machine----- 763 it would crank and not start. I went to the back and pushed this lever to the right(in) and tried again and it would start right up. is this a remove and replace part or could there be an issue not letting this part function?

Could be a bad pull solenoid, but also could be a bad connection or a broken wire.

Where that part wires up, check for power AND ground. If either one is missing, that solenoid will not function. If power AND ground are present, it is most likely a lay solenoid. Testing it first will help you save as much money as possible.

with the key on when you push the lever over does it stay over if s it is in the pull side. There is a pull side and hole side. Some machines have a timer that only applies the pull side for a short time it is plugged in like a second harness. So when you turn the key on you have to be quick r have a helper should have pwer to one wire fr a few seconds and power to a second wire full time with the key on third wire is grund

this is the procedure I use to get it started----- crank with key for a second open back door and push arm with ball socket to the right (in) go back and hit key and it starts right up.

AWEOME! thanks, second link seems familiar.....

For about $60 you can go to NAPA and buy a 9 foot, Nylon-lined Morse cable and convert the crappy, insanely-expensive, ($208!!!) troublesome Bobcat shut-off solenoid over to a manual setup and you will NEVER have to replace it. The older 743's had this setup and they are bulletproof. The only thing you'll have to do is make a bracket for it that will bolt up to the solenoid bracket. I just made one for a 773 and used a short piece of 1 1/2" x 1" angle iron that we drilled 2 holes in and bolted it to the solenoid bracket. NAPA sells everything else you'll need to adapt the cable to it. I LOVE it when a plan comes together! Now if we could figure out a way to castrate those stupid computers on these Bobcats, we'd have something!!!!!!!
