fuel return line t300

I have a 03 t300 that has a return line from the injector pump running under the motor to the tank ....I need to replace it ,has any body ever replaced this line?.... its the only line that runs outside of the machine unprotected,,,,, I need to replace this and with a quick look I cant even see the tank....does the return enter the tank at the top or at the bottom of the tank? iam thinking of running a line along the side of the motor to the filler hose and installing a groument with a fitting in it and attaching the 3/16 line to that instead of digging the tank out...thank you ,jody

The tank is under the engine, if you lift the cab, behind the drive pumps you should see two groments with two elbows that go into the tank.
The return line will go to the top of the tank, it should be rite next to the line to draw fuel up.
Worst case, you can install a groment and get the return line to fit to it. You will need to cap off the other line though, you don't want it to be a possible entry point for water.
