fuel issue

hi guys, I have a bobcat 642 with a mitshubisi motor that has a problem with getting fuel. the machine will run for about a 1/2 hour fine (with the choke pulled) then it will just stall out like it ran out of gas, fuel filter empties out at that point and if you try to start it just cranks, no start. walk away for a bit and come back it starts right up. any ideas? thanks

check the vent in the fuel cap, Next time it dies take the cap off immediately to see if there is a vacuum in the tank.
