I have an lx865 that I recently picked up. The machine seems to run good and has good power however seem to be getting diesel fuel into my crankcase oil. I have replaced the injectors and believe I checked the thermostat injector (sorry not sure of the correct name). I removed the thermostat controlled injector by removing it and reconnecting it with the machine running no fuel came out ( done while engine was warm). It is a pretty simple fuel system so I am running out of places and he fuel could get into the oil. I changed the oil and ran the machine for about 2 hours and the fuel went up about 5/16” on the dipstick. Is there any typical things other than the injectors that I might look at? Anything with the IP that could be leaking into The oil Any help would be greatly appreciated

Might be helpful if you said what engine you have, different diesels have their own common problems that occur with that particular brand. For example, one that comes to mind, before a certain year if the injection pump front seal leaked, fuel would dump into the crankcase. Later pumps had a bleed hole allowing fuel to leak off externally.

That would probably help some. It is. 1997 lx865 that has a Ford 332T. Is the seal on the IP one that commonly leaks? Is there a way to tell if it is leaking without taking the pump off or is it just a take off and replace type repair?

If fuel is getting in the oil, it has to be either the fuel lift pump (if mounted to the engine) or injector pump.
If it's the lift pump, they are easy to replace, but if it's leaking from the injector pump, i don't think it's a user reparable thing, you need special gear to do it :(
