Hi all, On my 873 the fuel gauge is acting up again. Reads right around full no matter how much is in the tank. Sender was replaced a year ago. At full I'm getting .33 ohms, half .082 ohms and empty .243 ohms. This is with the sender out of the tank and a multi meter applied to the 2 contacts. Does this seem like a good reading or is my sender dead again? I double checked those values, they are correct. Fuel gauge was working fine this summer into fall. I was getting pretty impressed running it a lot and plowing snow that I wasn't using any fuel! Thanks for the help.

Those readings look fishy too me. It should be a span from low res to high res........Yours at mid range look off. Those gauges are extremely fussy, the ground is very important. Before replacing, try running a temp ground wire from battery direct to sender unit, and try again. If the readings are still out of whack, yes it is the sender unit. Bruce
