I don't know how well the valve stems will hold up to fuel exposure but if they don't I'll replace with some that will. It gets tiresome waiting for it to trickle out these new spouts they have here.Huh, i like it! this modification may be in my future. My dad was lucky enough to score 4 scepter branded ones, they have vents.
I actually used one of these styled ones a few days ago, the princess asked why i was squeezing the 20 litre bottle, after hearing the gurgle as i let go, it clicked
I can't see them failing quickly if they don't like exposure to fuel, worst case just replace them later.I don't know how well the valve stems will hold up to fuel exposure but if they don't I'll replace with some that will. I get a kit to fix the "old" can and lt works on most new ones it comes from here http://ezpourspout.com/wp/ I buy locally and the high flow will empty a 5 gal can in under 1 min!! I used a step drill to make the hole for the vent it wont pull in like a twist drill, and of coarse I would never modify anything that the epa set in place so this is all speculation. amazon has them for the same price I pay here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSXvNgW6OEY that video shows how to install the kitI can't see them failing quickly if they don't like exposure to fuel, worst case just replace them later.
