Ford CL 45 Skid Steer

Hi All, I have just acquired a 1985 Ford CL 45 Skid steer. It is very hard to start initially, but once it has run for a few min it will start good the rest of the day. I suspect that the injector pump may be leaking back and loosing pressure, and /or the glow plugs are not working. I have not did any troubleshooting on either yet. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this in the past. Yea I know it is old and antique but, it does run good once it is started, and operates good. I'd start with the glow plugs.
When compression is a bit low, it will be hard to start but when warmed it will start easily for the rest of the day.
