Filters for 331G

I'm looking at filters for my 331G and see there are a number of non-JD filters on the market that supposedly fit it. Does anyone have any experience or opinions on using non-JD filters (engine oil, hydraulic, fuel, and etc?

If it is a direct cross over I would not hesitate on using napa/wix filters.
