Hey, got a 463 Bobcat and use a SB150 snowblower. it developed a oil leak last fall behind the blower fan. I assume it's the hydralic motor shaft seal. Anyone out there had a similiar situation? To remove the auger, I think all I need to do is remove the end support bearing bolts and loosen the drive motor end bolts so the motor swivels enought to pull the auger out of the blower frame? Correct? I can then remove the fan shift nut and pull the fan off the motor. Can I get at the seal without pulling the entire motor and control valve assembly? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

On the es2000 model its not necessary to remove the auger. The fan is held to the hub with 4 lug nuts (taped nuts) You can unbolt the fan from the hub by removing the 4 lug nuts. Then remove the big nut that hold the hub to the fan motor. You need a puller to remove the hub from the shaft as its on a taper. The you can unbolt the motor and disconnect the steel lines and remove the motor to change the seal.
I think your model should be the same. I'll talk to the factory and see what else I can find out for you.

Thanks for the information. This is Erskin's baby blower I'm sure. Not sure they even make the 48" anymore. It does not appear that the fan can be removed without taking the auger out first. It's a fairly small unit. The castle nut and cotter key are all that's holding the fan on the motor shaft, no hub on this model. The fan is drilled and tapped for puller bolts so I assume the shaft is either keyed or tapered like you say the ES2000 is. Curious how the auger is removed and if a person can get at the seal without removing all the lines, etc. from the motor and valve assembly once the fan is removed. It looks like they are one unit and are removed from the back of the blower frame. Again, thanks for your time and info.
