Engine rotation direction

Hello i am the new proud owner of a older 540 bobcat skid steer it is very clean for the age my question is the motor was removed long before i purchased it and i need to in stall one.So when standing behind the machine does the original engine turn clockwise or counter clockwise? this will help me find the correct replacement. Thanks for any answers!

I have a Bobcat 530 with the original Kohler K582 engine. I looked up the specs on the 540 and it appears to have come with the same engine as mine. When standing from behind and watching the flywheel/fan, my engine turns clockwise.
