Engine locked up ,need to raise boom

Bought a L175 , I need advice on lifting the boom ,engine is locked up,the previous owner ran it low on oil ,have to raise the boom to get the engine out.I do not have a way to raise it with another piece of equipment, my mini ex wont lift high enough to engage the support pins on the skid steer

You could plumb the auxiliary hydraulics on your mini ex into the lift circuit of the dead machine and raise the lift arms that way...

Plumb into bottom of lift cylinder and have someone sit in seat and unlock hydraulics and hold the lift pedal and when boom is up put out boom locks, I can't remember if you have to hold to lift or lower it will only raise one way.
