I have a 310 bobcat with a factory k 341 kohler engine my electric clutches have been repaced by a straight pulley .This is not the safest way to do a repair and I would like to intall the 2 electrical clutches on the 1 1/8 shaft .the clutches are no longer available from bobcat but they are identicall to ones used on lawnmowers ?? Does anyone have some more info as to availability or a manufacturer that offers such cluches .If someone could post a picture of the setup that would be great as well !!!!!

I just purchased one of these little machines as well. It has lots of problems but the two speed function on mine seems to work, other than the relay. The clutch is only for two speed operation. It doesn't really function as a safety device. When the machine is running, or even just the key on, the clutch is engaged. For what my bobcat dealer wants for the two speed setup I would just put a fixed pulley on it also if mine ever quit working. I think high speed is only designed for transportation, not work. The hydraulic pump is driven faster in high range though. I think I saw in one of your other posts that you were looking to dig a basement with yours. That may be a pretty tall order. It would be even for a larger machine. More power to you if it works. I can only guess since mine is not operational yet. Soon...just waiting on some parts.

could you measure the diameters of of the high and low pulley's for me ?THANKS A MILLION FOR THE PIC? Is there a manufaturers name on any of them? The machine is quite powerfull for its size .I have mine working fairly well with a fixed pulley .I would like a toothed bucket for digging .I do need to dig out a basement 24x24 ft about 1 ft and I think it should be doable .Just put new tires on the unit .Mine is still hard to start but it might be operator error . please send me an email at [email protected] have a manual that I could maybe email to you if you need it thanks again

Thanks for the offer on the manual but I already have the service manual. I am on the lookout for an operator's manual. Bobcat wanted $80 for one. The slow speed pulley is approximately 5" and the high is 6.5". There is no manufacturer marking that I can see.

It seems that I read somewhere that someone had adapted a wheelhorse two speed clutch to their bobcat 310. Here's one on e-bay now.
