After 50 hours on the new rebuild it started to beep and lock out the boom hydraulics then the machine started to shut down. After 10 min it could be started and run, then the problem would begin again at at different intervals. Finally the EIC Instrument cluster would not light up at all when you sat in seat. However, machine ran in service mode. I checked the safety interlocks on seat and safety belts and checked the pin voltages and ground at the EIC using the service manual. I then determined it was the EIC board at $880. I then purchased one from Messick's where I see they stock 8 of them. After contacting a number of sources I am finding out that this is a problematic part and just about everyone who I contacted has this model has sometime replaced a board. After replacing the board, the rpms are off by 500 rpms and the hour meter does'nt work. I was told it needed calibrated for the hours and I checked if it was on the setting for the 3 cylinder diesel and it was. Can I do this myself?? Mecster</p></blockquote><p></p>
