Hi. I have a NH ls140..its done around 1900 hours and in general is in really good condition and well maintained. I really like it but it is a touch underpowered when lifting...I have noticed over the last couple of months that occasionally the forks or bucket droop when stationery..but I can have the arms up with 20 concrete blocks on a pallet and most of the time they dont drop at all..which is wierd! However the other day the forks started dropping about 6-7 inches when I raised the boom..it was only sporadic though. I figured that maybe it is time for a seal change on the bucket cylinders. Then tonight I had a load of blocks delivered..I went to lift 35 on a pallet ( on or around its limit} there was an almighty bang and hydraulic fluid everywhere. On of the rear hoses had split under what must have been some pressure going on the noise. Now the machine moves fine..the arms will raise and lower (but I left them down) but there is no pressure to the bucket cylinders at all. I guess my questions are... > Do you think the hose failure is coincidence due to age of machine...?? What would cause the forks to droop when raising the main boom arms ( Is it possible the cylinder seals are damaged and letting fluid in/out where they shouldn't?) Is it possible there was a huge back pressure to the rear hose because the bucket cylinder seals clearly need replacing? Any thoughts?? I cant tell you exactly where the split hose goes on the machine tonight..but I will update tomorrow evening once i have had a chance to look at it in the light. I could just replace the hose easily enough but with the drooping of the front cylinders as well I don't want to splash out until you guys give me a heads up as to what you think the issue may be. Many thanks in advance for any help.
