Does anyone have experience draining a fuel tank on T770? Best to use transfer pump and then pump remainder out via the primer bulb? I do not think it has a drain plug?

According to the parts catalog most of the T770s do appear to have a drain plug but there does look like one tank that does not have one.

If you do have a plug, get as much fuel out of the tank before pulling the plug. It is very messy.

Just remember that if you use a transfer pump, there is a screen in the filler tube that will need to be removed in order to get the hose to the bottom of the tank.

You can also hook up an electric fuel pump to the pickup tube and pump it out there. However, if there is debris in the tank this line may plug up.

Thanks very much for the advice. I had water in fuel code and was wondering if I should just drain the tank, let fuel sit in clean container and then re add fuel above any water that settles out. Basically just trying to start over fresh. I just had to get a new fuel rail due to stuck open high pressure relief valve (which may have just happened spontaneously.) It seems everything with fuel system on these high pressure fuel rail machines are super sensitive to the least bit of water. I added a filter with water absorb block to the auxiliary fuel tank from which we fill our machine.
I know the machine has a fuel water separator, but I think sometimes water can still get past the separator if the machine is bouncing around quite a bit (e.g. grub mesquite trees in texas).
One habit we are developing is to drain fuel water separator before crank the machine each day.
Thanks for any advice!

I emailed bobcat parts and my specific serial # machine appears to have a fuel tank with no plug. That seems crazy to have no way to drain the tank via plug removal. Will use tips from above, thanks

Here is link to the parts catalog schematics:

It always helps to see what you are dealing with before digging into the machine.
