Do the use of other hydraulics pull power from my high flow?

So I just bought me a 333G with a mulcher, the machine has about 500 hours on it with partial use of the mulcher, it seems that when i'm running the high flow and I raise or lower the boom I loose a little roller drum momentum and my gauge on the mulcher goes to 0. Is there any anyone out there that can tell me if this is normal, I really appreciate it, thanks in advance.
