Ive spent the last six months rebuilding my old 743. Complete with new pistons, crank Linish, spool valve overhall and the list goes on.
The initial engine start went well. Lots of oil pressure and nil hydraulic leaks.
Somehow the governor setting wont allow the engine revs much above idle. I did replace the O ring in the accelerator shaft, carefully tying up the spring whilst have the body off for cleaning etc. I only saw one spring in there though one cannot see much more due to the space.
Question! Am I missing something? the specs show two springs though one is out of site.
All fuel entrees are fine, engine temp is good, glow is good.
your thoughts would be appreciated.
