simple question; do DOCs need to be cleaned?

I'm assuming you are talking about an exhaust particulate filter
Most need some sort of cleaning or a cleaning cycle to burn out the carbon. not all are thesame though. Can you talk to the dealer to see what they say about it? Best clean it, than have to replace one, i hear they are expensive.....

Yeah im talking about the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst, we purchased our machine ,which is under 75 hp, because we didn’t want to deal with any of the emissions stuff.... i hope they can help clear things up!
I hope so too, if anyone will, know, it will be them.
I have heard stories about them on cars, people doing short runs to the shops, they don't get hot enough to clean them selves, with a skid steer, i'd like to think they would run hard enough to burn the rubbish out on their own.
