Stock coolant is purple. It is prop gly, std green is ethle gly. They are chemically different and take different testers. As for testing it, from the factory, the coolant is premixed so unless somebody added water, the protection points are always right on. The purple coolant will get a pretty dark brown by the time it reaches it 1000 service point. You can convert to green coolant, purple is only used to be enviromentally friendly.Was wandering if I could use regular antifreeze ?
