Hello group. I have an older model 863F turbo Bobcat. Very happy with it. Only thing I wish were different is if it were a hilo machine. Can you non Hilo unit be converted to a Hilo machine?

yes it can very easyily. expenesive but why? only benifit is to run a hi flow attachment. as in HF planer HF trencher. not that many more HF attachments.

OH MY F-ing GOD!! That will be STUPID expensive. I doubt there is much advantage over having a H/F machine anyways. Most guys just want a machine that shortens the task at hand & is better than a standard shovel. I am pretty sure you could convert it, but that will cost a ton of money.

Thank you for the response. I have a couple of attachments coming my way in the form of a large trencher and concrete planer.

I don't think the trencher will need hi flow, but the concrete plainer will.
To convert it over will really cost you a lot, if you feel you will need it, you may want to look to upgrade your machine to one with Hi Flow.
Conversions have been done, i just don't remember the cost. If you had the dealer do it, it will cost you even more. They will need to program the computer to enable it once installed too.

A guy once told me "it's all just nuts & bolts", but the general / shared / common idea is to not spend more on converting it to a something that it is not for more money than you could buy another machine. Keep that in mind as hydraulic pumps, valves & the hydraulic lines / hoses are NOT cheap, especially when buying the parts from BOBCAT. I have a *^# HI-FLOW That I will sell you for cheaper than converting yours. Plus, you will always have the REAL thing.

I paid a dealer to convert an S650 for a customer once. It's expensive but if you're happy with the machine you have, go for it! It's cheaper than buying a newer high flow machine. In most cases they don't offer a kit so you'll have to ask the dealer parts person to break it all down which get them just a little annoyed.
