I have a 2013 CASE TV380 mini track loader and an old Parsons backhoe which came off of my International 460 Utility tractor. I want to convert the old backhoe to use on the skid steer with a quick attach plate, but I also want to use the joysticks inside the cab to control the backhoe. I was thinking that multi-port electric diverter values might work. Has anyone done a conversion like this, and if so, how did you do it?

My dad and I built two backhoe attachments using the backhoe from trenchers. We didn't try to use the cab controls so I won't be of much help. How would you see where you're digging from inside the cab? It would seem that once you got down any depth you would have a hard time knowing what you were doing. In our setup we made handles that extended out of the cab so we could operate the skid steer while setting on the backhoe attachment. Probably not a great idea but that's how we do it. I can't see how you'd get your handles inside the machine to operate the how since you'd have to divert flow from your lift and tilt system to do that wouldn't you? What I mean is you wouldn't be doing functions that are normally controlled by the auxiliary hydraulics at that point. I'm sure there's some legal disclaimer I should copy and paste to this comment :)

To be able to see I plan to have a plate that has a slide in it to move the backhoe to the right or left of center. The handles that you extend out are a good idea and I thought about that also. I think you're right saying I can't use the machine joysticks. I believe if I operate from inside, I'll need a second set of joysticks off of a Case excavator to operate the backhoe and use an electric 6 port hydraulic diverter to control the cylinders.
