New to the group here and have only ran Bobcats but I am looking at a 2006 257B with 1500 hours. Tracks look good but I was wondering what the known issues are with this model. I will be doing riverbank cleanup in the spring, a little dirt moving here and there and some small snow removal in the winter. I doubt I would put on more than 100 hours per year and it will be more of an expensive toy than anything. Thanks for any input. Mark

You made the right choice if it's gong to be a low hour unit.
Personally, I would have looked for one a bit nrewer, I like the 2007+ models, all the upgrades and their iundercarriages are better.

Thanks for the reply, I actually ended up with a 247b instead of the 257, lower hours and a few more bells and whistles. It too is a 2006 model but in great shape. So far I like it. I wish I could find a service manual for less than $1000 however!!! Thanks again for the reply. Mark
