New Holland lx665 did not want to start after night of -30 two days ago. I blamed bio fuel although there is anti gel in the tank. I still think that was the original problem but took out the glow plugs , fuel shut off solenoid , changed the filters, bled the pump and plugged block heater in. Today it finally started and then I found that in one of the many times in and out of the cab the aux handle had been put in detent. That is just how things go around here. Check the simple things first.

Point of this is the engine has all it can do to start with the pumps full of below zero 10-30 and with the aux in detent it was too much. Would have saved a day or so and a couple years on the life of the starter if I had checked.

You are not the first, and will not be the last to have done this.
As pretty well all machines sold in .au have 4 in 1 buckets, if the aux is stuck on, the bucket opens so we can easily tell.
