now in this new modern day age. the value of new technology is self evident. the ability to track a units history from day one. specficaly prior to purchase of a so called good used machine. what the code list enables us to do . A. eng smoking had 34 air filter shutdowns= she ate dust. eng done 10.000. B. charge press shut down coupled with hyd filt in bypass. = hyd sys trashed=12.000 point being prior to purchase. use the tools we have been blessed with. grandma drove it to church on sundays. don't fly anymore.

Are those codes non-erasable? I know you can erase the codes that appear when pressing the light button by disconnecting the battery.
Are some codes stored deeply in the computer that only the dealer can see?

yes the entire history of unit will be stored... deeply. only bobcat service personal have access to software(changes often). point being.. if I pull codes and see DIRTY AIR FILTER SHUT DOWN. (KEEP IN MIND DIRTY AIR FILTER CODES WILL give warnining as in beep active code warning. shutdown means unit is angry as in please service me. im going to to turn off. until you fix me. can be resarted purpose being to get it it loaded on trailer. I myself have personaly changed out a dozen engines. that had a history of warnnings than into shut downs. because operator chose to ignore warninings. ALSO of note air filters have a sticker stating do not clean. half of those dozen had air filters that were cleaned. SIMPLE MATH GUYS. 10 k for an eng. 30 bucks for a filter and it even tells you when its getting dirty. or complete cut off when ignored. I suppose I lost track here my origanil intetation was to get complete down load of codes prior to purchase of used units. use the tools we have been handed.
