So i have land around a house up on a big hill and the house was redone and finished and the land hasn’t been maintained in almost 20 years so its rutty and rocky and half looks like a construction site. Whats the best way to plant nice maintainable grass? I figured grade what I can with a bucket, use my 3 point rake to clean up larger debris, use my box blade to grade smaller areas. From there I’m not sure. I was thinking getting a soil conditioner/harley rake to break up a lot of the surface stuff then follow up with a landscape rake to pick up any leftover rocks and leave a nice level area to lay seed. I’ve never done this before. I do own the skid just not the attachments

honestly if it was me, I'd rent/use/borrow or?? bigger equipment if I had several acres to clean up

using a skid steer can be a very very slow going game on a few acres of land, not to mention all the wear and tear and hours your going to be putting on a skid steer to do so!
and your going to want to do your best to tears up and remove as many roots(and root balls) as possible, 20 yr old tree/shrubs and bushes can have pretty deep roots
and as such things will want to grow back

soil conditioners are great tools for final goings, but pending types of trees and again roots, a deer cut might be needed!
