Can't find any posts on these Chinese Skid Steers. Before you serve me for not buying American - Do you shop at Walmart? Target? Auto Zone? Advance Auto? Most of their merchandise and parts are from China - read the labels. So, I bought a new AGT LTR23 for $4750.00 knowing that it would probably require upgrades. I'm a former Navy Engineman with 4 yrs Submarine Service. I know my way around engineering equipment. The Honda Knockoff engine, 739cc, was stalling at about 1 1/2 hours of continuous use. My first upgrade was to replace the impulse fuel pump with a 12 volt electric. The hydraulic temp gauge was reading 70C - seemed high to me so I flipped the oil cooler fan to stop it from drawing hot air from the engine to drawing cool air from outside. I also reversed the 2 wires to the fan motor. It now runs about 2 hours before reaching high temps and shutting down. Anyone else encounter these over heating problems?

I thankfully haven't had these issues. I bought a Agt LRT 23 in October and the thing ran fine for maybe 3 weeks then wouldn't run longer than 3 seconds. So I replaced the fuel filter and air filter with the one that comes in that junky yellow toolbox they give you and it would run fine then. Well, 2 weeks later the thing wouldn't run again and found a YouTube video on the fuel filter being the problem. So I bypassed the fuel filter and it ran like a charm. So I got one of the 12 v pumps like you have and put on American fuel filter and I haven't had an issue yet! Before I couldn't run it at full throttle because it would surge out of control and die, now I can run at full throttle. i love this little skid, it's cold here in Nebraska and it starts up no worries each time. I've made a grapple bucket, pallet forks, and snow plow for it already.

Thanks for answering. I replaced the hydraulic oil and engine oil. I read that the factory oil is some kind of crappy mixture of maybe vegetable oil to get by the import laws. She now runs fine - no shutting down.

Mine does stop as well. The most bothering to me is the fact that the bucket movement is limited. Would not tip down all the way so cannot dump it empty. Anyone had this problem? And how they fixed it. I'm thinking a longer bucket cilinder...

Hi there! I bought one of these last November.so far I'm loving it. I did notice the stalling after running for a while. And I'll definitely be doing your suggestions. Thank you for that. The annoying thing I find with it is the bucket doesn't dump all the way. Cilinder too short? I can't find specs with the dimensions for it. Any idea of how to solve the issue?

I have that issue as well. But just shake the bucket with the hydraulics and the material will dump out

How did you replace the hydraulic fluid? Is there a drain port?
My drain plug wouldn't budge. I siphoned my fluid out, got the bottom of the tank bone dry. Used a 5/8 hose for that, tied it to a piece of rebar and had it flush to the bottom of the tank. Wasn't fast, but it worked. Tried a bigger hose, couldn't maintain the suction. Maybe it was a 1/2 that worked, not sure.

How high are you letting the temp get before you shut it off? I don't want to go higher than 65. That means I mix my work and let it cool periodically. I'd like to get an auxillary fan for it. Run it with all the covers off to help air flow.

I have a rebadged LR23. My main issue was a track popping off but i resolved that by running the engines slower. I had it revved too high. No pop offs in the last 3 days. Also had the cooling fan stop, fuse blew. Changed all fluids after an hour of use. Currently at 14 hours, just chugging along.
