I just went through my 7775 I picked up. Resealed the hydro pumps (had an input seal sucking air) So I just ran it today for about 45 minutes, everything seems well, charge pressure good at 125 psi. Hydraulic temp shows around 110 degrees on the cluster. I felt the charge pump, and I think its a good bit hotter than that, need to get a battery in my infrared thermometer to get a temp reading though. What is an acceptable temp for the actual pump to be? I just want to make sure it's not an issue. Thanks! Will

I thought the hydraulics are still good up to around 70c, possibly even hotter, the hotter it gets, the faster the oil breaks down.
I hope someone can give a firm value, as it would be good to know.

Thanks for the reply. I'd say it's definitely under that, as i can touch it and not burn my hand, or have to take it away. I'd guess it's 120-130f. Still need to track down my thermometer, been too busy actually using the machine! Temp is steady on the gauge, and I don't have any signs of aeration or anything funky, so I'm going to assume all is well! I picked up a ripper attachment this weekend, was a big help on getting the fill dirt busted up for grading. So far machine is definitely paying for itself! Will

That's the rule of thumn i use too, if you can hold your hand on it, it's not too hot.
I bought an excivator to dig services for a driveway, took me 2 days, i figure if i paid someone to do it, i'd be up for 120-150/hr and 2 days of say 8-10 hrs a day to give a cost of 2.5-3k, i paid 4.5k for the machine. Not paid off yet, but i have more work for it.
