How do I know if it is working? I just had both pumps and both motors rebuilt. Drianed/cleaned line, hoses, cooler and chaincases. Installed the pumps and motors, reattached all the hoses and lines. New filters, new hyd oil and a bunch of other stuff too. The manual says to crank the engine without the fuel until the Charge pressure light goes off. That's what I did but the charge pressure light was never on. Is that normal? I had a pressure gauge coming in the mail and it was supposed to be delivered today (my day off). It didn't come and it's not going to until tomorrow. Thanks

The light needs to be working. Remove the panel with the lights and check for power at the charge pressure light with the key on. If there is no power then there is a problem in the circuit between the key switch and the light. If there is power then use an ohm meter and check if you have continuity between the other wire on the light and ground. If there is continuity then the light is burned out. If no continuity to ground then check for continuity between the ground terminal of the light wire and the oil pressure sender. If continuity then the circuit is good to the light. If no continuity then the wire is broken somewhere in between. If there is continuity in the circuit then check the other terminal on the sender and ground for continuity. If there is continuity then that portion of the circuit is also good and the sender is bad............The buzzer should also be working if the light is working unless the buzzer is bad...................Before you crank the engine again to build charge pressure, remove the cap from the stand pipe filter screen so oil can fill the pipe farther. Then replace the cap before cranking.

If I remember right all those lights are the same. On mine the lights are on the right side of the cab. I had the same problem and I took a light that was working and plugged it in the charge light wires. I had to change the sending unit on mine and all was fine

Thanks for the help everyone. It ended up quite easy (for once). Opened up the light panel and the connector on the charge pressure light was loose. Now it seems to work fine -- still no buzzer though. I'm thinking about replacing the sender anyway since it has such an important job. Hopefully i will get home early enough today to get the gauge plumbed in and try the initial start up again. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Also noticed another thing yesterday. When in the seat there are LED's that light up in the service box that let you know if the safety features are working. The SOL (solenoid) light seems to be working intermittently. When I would sit down the "seat" and "SOL" LED would come on. Then when I'd buckle the "belt" LED would come on. There is also an LED labelled "timer", what's that for? I would crank the starter a few times without fuel then stop (per manual after hydrostat rebuild). Sometimes the "SOL" LED would go off and the starter would not crank. I'd release the belt and give it a minute or so then rebuckle the "SOL" LED would come back on and it would crank again. Then I switched to service mode which I guess does not require the solenoid to be energized to allow a start because it didn't fail to crank in the service mode. So does this sound like a bad solenoid? Where is it located? Is it in that black service box on the right? thanks again, Brett
