I suspect the chatter is the relief valve getting an air lock. I've gone thru the procedure in the manual for getting the air out (up on blocks, run 20 minutes reversing directions, etc..) Have read the service manual time and time again and taken the pumps apart 3 times. One thing I haven't done is the pressure tests 'cause the brakes were inoperative therefore I couldn't put a load on it when it's up on blocks. I have a hunch it's getting excessive pressure in the pump cavity, this would cause the seals to blow. I replaced the 4 pump reliefs with new ones. Thought I'd pull that pump again and really look at the valve head for a crack - maybe take it to the machine shop for magnaflux. Considering buying a new pump, they're not that expensive (less than $1100) but figured I'd better fix the brakes and run the tests first - could be the motor. thanks again

[QUOTE="herc983, post: 9810, member: 1217"] Yes, I'm having problems. thanks for the response. Looking for suggestions/opinions to fix. One side was sluggish and was leaking oil so I took it apart to replace both pump cam and shaft seals. Pumps look really good on the inside. Now one side won't reverse once it's warmed up and has a load on it. When it's run on the ground (load) for 5 minutes it will reverse ok, when I can hear a chatter then the one side won't reverse.
